Key dates
- Semester 1, 2027 starts on Monday 1 March.
- Standard Semester 1 subjects: census date 31 March.
- Standard Semester 2 subjects: census date 31 August.
- Summer, winter and some other subjects have their own dates. They're on each subject's Handbook page.
Free study help
- Academic Skills: one-on-one appointments, workshops, self-access resources and English language help.
- PASS (Peer Assisted Study Sessions): free weekly study sessions led by students, in selected subjects.
- Library past exam papers: search by subject code. They only go from 1998 to 2019, not every subject has them, and there are no solutions. You log in with your uni account.
Professional accreditation
Only some majors lead to accreditation, and usually only if you take specific subjects. These are the ones the 2026 Handbook lists.
- Bachelor of Science / Science (Extended) · Computing and Software Systems: Australian Computer Society (ACS). The major alone isn't enough: add the Artificial Intelligence or Advanced Computing specialisation. See the requirements on the Handbook
- Bachelor of Science / Science (Extended) · Psychology: Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC). Take the full 125-point accredited Psychology sequence, not the shorter 50-point Level 3 version. See the requirements on the Handbook
- Bachelor of Arts · Psychology: Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC). Take the 125-point accredited major, not the 75-point minor. 25 points of it go in your breadth. See the requirements on the Handbook
- Bachelor of Biomedicine · Psychology: Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC). Take the full 125-point accredited Psychology sequence, not the shorter 50-point Level 3 version. See the requirements on the Handbook
- Bachelor of Design · Computing and Software Systems: Australian Computer Society (ACS). The major alone isn't enough: add the Artificial Intelligence or Advanced Computing specialisation. See the requirements on the Handbook
- Bachelor of Commerce · Accounting: CPA Australia (CPA), Chartered Accountants ANZ (CA ANZ). Take the accreditation version of the major: extra compulsory subjects (including ECON10003) plus three law breadth subjects (BLAW10001, BLAW20001, BLAW30002). See the requirements on the Handbook
- Bachelor of Commerce · Actuarial Studies: Actuaries Institute. This gives exemption from the Actuaries Institute Foundation Program, not full accreditation, and only if your marks in the matching subjects are high enough. See the requirements on the Handbook
- Bachelor of Oral Health · Whole course: Australian Dental Council (ADC). Requirements are on the Handbook page. See the requirements on the Handbook
